RUSA DEER

New Caledonia is the home of the largest Rusa deer in the world. Hunting in this tropical paradise for world-class stags is a hunt not to be missed. The hunting is conducted on exclusive private property, encompassing undulating hills scattered with large sections of forest. It is not uncommon to encounter as many as 10 worthwhile trophies in a days hunting. There are more record book heads collected from this one property than all others.

The hunting lodge is fully serviced with first class meals and accommodation. The hunting season runs June, July, and August. Paul Convery guides all clients that book with Magnum Hunts and Taxidermy personally where possible, as Paul spends several weeks each year guiding in New Caledonia. The 2000 season saw many top trophies collected with several in the 38 to 40 inch mark. See more details in the photo gallery.

South Australia…All hunting restricted to the Water Valley Game Reserve. Trophies average thirty to thirty two inches in size with several a year up to thirty four inches.  The large number of stags available ensures the opportunity to collect a good trophy. Can be hunted during May, June, July and August.
